Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float Pool - 13 WEEK TEMP ASSIGNMENT

Here is a unique opportunity. We are looking for a highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to work a 13 week temp assignment in the Critical Care Unit Float Pool at Tulane Medical Center Downtown, Tulane Lakeside and Lakeview Regional Medical Center.

ICU nurses work quickly, efficiently, independently, and meticulously. In order to treat the most critical patients in the most thorough manner, critical care nurses use their specialized skills and extensive knowledge of disease pathology to provide interventions that sustain life.

About this unit:

Tulane Medical Center Downtown 

  • 70-bed ICU made up of Neuro ICU, SICU, MICU, CCU, and Abdominal Transplant units

  • Cohesive teamwork, opportunity to be trained and developed by top notch nurses, educators, mentors and physicians

  • You’ll be able to care for patients recovering from complex trauma including TBI, spinal cord injury, strokes, CABGs

About the ICU Unit at Lakeview Regional Medical Center - A Campus of Tulane Medical Center 

  • 12-bed Intensive Care Unit
  • Amazing teamwork throughout all levels – Physicians, Leadership, RNs, PCTs.
  • Patient safety and satisfaction are our number one priority

Responsibilities:

  • The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery and management of patient care.  S/he utilizes the nursing process, the healthcare environment, and current technology to provide a climate which optimizes patient care and staff development.

 

Qualifications

What Qualifications You Will Need 

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing    

  • Current Louisiana or Compact RN license required

  • Current BLS

  • ACLS certification required within 1 year of employment

  • 1 year of ICU experience required
