Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for the oversight of inventory control at the assigned facility.The Inventory Control Lead will drive and monitor inventory accuracy throughout the warehousing processes: from the receipt of inventory on inbound orders, packaging of finished goods, and on to the shipment of inventory on outbound orders.The Inventory Control Lead is also responsible for timely investigation and resolution of inventory issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.The Inventory Control Lead acts to resolve of all discrepancies, interface errors, erroneous transactions, and inventory errors on a daily basis at his/her assigned facility.

2.The Inventory Control Lead will support the driving down excess (salable) inventory generated by the business via being a participating member of the Excess Inventory Task Force.

3.The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for tracking KPI’s such as inventory accuracy, write-off / write-in data, and other applicable measures as required.

4.The Inventory Control Lead will also be responsible for the daily PRD and TFR transactions.
This will involve the ability to research and find root cause for discrepancies.  


This role can include up to 5% travel.

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat (non-weather) and loud noise levels.

Qualifications, Skills, and Personality Traits

1.1-3 years of Inventory Control experience

2.Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.

3.Intermediate to advanced PC and spreadsheet literacy to monitor and track various key performance indicators.

4.Ability to Problem Solve and uncover errors

5.Ability to drive a stand up forklift or willingness to learn.
