Summary

The incumbent will report directly to the Deputy Executive Director, Regional Operations, Labor and Employee Relations (LER), and serve as the LER Service Area Director. Providing service area-wide LER operational and policy guidance to subordinate LER offices. Provide managerial leadership to oversee the work of subordinate LER Managers. Provide expert guidance and management support to senior leadership on a range of strategic planning and tactical LER initiatives, activities, and issues.

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FG/GS-14/FV-J level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:Providing direction, supervision and managerial oversight for labor and employee relations programs and activities that support the FAA’s labor and employee relations strategies;Providing guidance and management support to FAA executives and senior leadership on a broad range of strategic planning and tactical labor and employee relations initiatives, activities and issues; ANDManaging and leading staff responsible for labor and employee relations programs and activities.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
