Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Experience in the operation of an industrial/nuclear organization. Technical competence and experience to establish an operations program, including coordination with other departments to align policies and resources enabling safe operation of the facility. Supervisory capability to direct staff in support of safe, productive operation of the facility. Comprehensive knowledge of DOE O 422.1, DOE O 433.1B, DOE O 5480.1936, Computerized Maintenance Management Software and 10 CFR 83026 requirements for TSRs and DSAs.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES, AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure packaging, classification, and interim storage or secondary wastes generated at SWPF activities meet regulatory requirements and program compliance;
Manages the implementation of the Fire Protection Program, Chemical Safety Program, and Lessons Learned Programs;
Manage packaging, classification, and interim storage of secondary wastes generated by the SWPF and direct the Generator Certification Officials activities to meet program compliance;
Direct the Transportation Specialist activities to meet transportation program compliance;
Manage all warehousing activities, including:
Coordination with the Government Property Administrator on implementation of the property control system for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Contractor-acquired or Government-furnished including receiving, inspection, documentation, warehousing, excessing and issuing to the appropriate department personnel and/or subcontractors for installation;
Implementing and maintaining the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Contractor computerized inventory;
Review and approval of Overages, Shortages, and Damaged items reports, as well as relevant freight bills, and/or supporting documentation;
Assign and direct Facility Coordinator for 763-J Warehouse and supporting temporary structures;
Manage the housing, janitorial, and landscaping subcontracts for the facility.
Control material receipt, storage, and issuance for field installation;
Assist Operations in the housekeeping program at SWPF
Assist Operations in managing the radio inventory and radio maintenance

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

BS Engineering or similar (or equivalent relevant experience)
10 years or more total experience with at least 4 Years related Nuclear Facility Management experience
Prior Salt Waste Processing Facility or similar experience is preferred
