The position will involve the management and use of Aperio slide scanning systems in support of the digital pathology initiative. Duties will include working closely with the histologists to prepare neuropathologic slides for scanning and digitization, transporting slides from the brain bank to the system, management and upkeep of the scanning database, and coordinating with outside groups for collaborative projects. The position will require basic understanding on how to access a VPN and view databases so computer literacy will also be meaningful. Ensure all corporate safety, quality control and quality assurance standards are met, maintain a clean and well-organized work area, and perform limited administrative tasks, and other duties assigned by your direct supervisor.
