Clinical Research Coordinator- SOM: Office of Clinical Research Department- Sacramento Campus Department Description The Office of Clinical Research is dedicated to conducting clinical trials that promote and support multidisciplinary collaborations that assist in the translation of scientific discoveries to the clinic and ultimately bring more lifesaving treatments to patients. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities The Clinical Research Coordinator is a health professional having working knowledge of data management activities and works independently or with general direction to coordinate and follow through in the overall administration and outcome of clinical studies. Required Qualifications Experience working with disease processes as applied to human clinical research. Experience working with commonly used clinical trial management databases such as iMedidata Rave, InForm, and Oracle. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations involving basic accounting, body surface area (BSA) calculation and drug dosage calculations. Experience abstracting clinical information from medical records. Experience maintaining large volumes of records. Experience composing reports and correspondence while utilizing correct grammar, spelling and punctuation as well as clearly documenting research data onto forms. Experience working individually and as a team member in a diverse workforce. Experience working in an oncology environment. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and understanding of oncology and disease processes as applied to clinical research. Previous experience coordinating oncology clinical trials. Clinical trial coordination experience. Special Requirements This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
