We are searching for an Ultrasound Technologist t to join our patient-centered team in a flexible, PRN position. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic general, ob/gyn, vascular, and invasive procedures (therapeutic and diagnostic), as well as providing an oral and written summary of the technical finding.

 

What you will do in this role: 

  • You will perform diagnostic scans and procedures using applied principles and protocols.
  • You will perform patient identification and follow red rules and invasive procedures process.

  • You will prepare patient for examination by proper gowning and explanation of procedure to patient. 

  • You will identify patient by both verbal and visual methods as established by the organization.

  • You will acquire appropriate history from patient as relative to the exam, interview patients for procedures (history/diagnosis) and verifiy physician’s orders. 

  • You will compare radiology requisition with written order before proceeding with exam.  

Qualifications

  • NEW GRADUATE: Must be registry eligible. Must complete all parts of registries with ARRT Sonography (S) or RDMS within 6 months from graduating an accredited school or program. NON-NEW GRADUATE: must have current ARRT (S) or RDMSAnd ARRT Mammography (M) within one year of hire - Required.
  • Associates Degree – Preferred
  • Certificate/diploma  rom accredited ultrasound school/program required  (*If applicant has successfully passed license/Certification prior to graduation, candidate must successfully graduate from an accredited program within current semester of hire date)
