Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is hiring a Director 2 of International Growth to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Strategy and Business Development organization. This position will be located in either San Diego/Rancho Bernardo, CA; Redondo Beach, CA; Melbourne, FL; or Falls Church, VA and will be responsible for leading international growth and winning strategic/priority captures.

This Director will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, and will be responsible for leading a global team tasked with the sustained global growth of the Sector to include:
  • Early strategy development and positioning
  • Opportunity development/pipeline qualification
  • Opportunity pursuit
  • Opportunity capture and mission expansion/protect and grow
Additionally, the International growth team (led by this Director) will be responsible for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) offset and key partnering to promote international growth. This individual will be expected to deliver international growth strategies and will be accountable for international awards. Practical forecasting based on solid financial analysis and the management of multiple $10M+ budgets is expected, and requires a solid understanding of the FMS process as well as international defense acquisition norms. As the lead of the international growth organization, this individual will represent the company at high-level events and engagements, both domestically and abroad, with a strong executive presence.

Essential Functions include:
  • Develop and implement integrated strategic frameworks for multiple campaigns.
  • Lead or coordinate gate reviews and interim reviews as the captures matures across the BAP/IBAP lifecycle to Business Unit, Division, Sector and Corporate leadership.
  • Ability to analyze strategic plans and investment strategies to optimize capture efforts and NCTA execution to ensure commitments to the Sector's AOP/LRSP are fulfilled.
  • Manage strategy development for international industrial participation and satisfaction of offset requirements as appropriate.
  • Manage International Consultant support including tasking oversight and consultant alignment.
  • Analyze and qualify future opportunities.
  • Lead a Global Team in building robust and trusted customer relationships based on credibility and mission expertise.
  • Pursue and win strategic international captures.
Successful candidates will have the following:

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree AND 10 years of related professional experience that includes a background in international business capture within the Aerospace and Defense industry, OR a Master's degree and 8 years of related professional experience that includes a background in international business capture within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Must be able to attain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally as required by business needs, consistent with ensuring the safety and security of the employee in light of the current COVID-19 situation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
  • Proven track record of capture wins on programs >$1B
  • Understanding and knowledge of U.S. Government and International acquisition/procurement policies and regulations
  • Top-tier aeronautics defense contractor Business Development or Program Management experience
  • Profit and Loss experience
  • Well-versed in the Aerospace and Defense industry, including a deep knowledge of Northrop Grumman's programs, products, customers, and competitors.
  • Ability to motivate and energize a team to produce a winning solution
  • Ability to think strategically, and develop/implement creative strategies into winning bids
  • Must possess strong communication, negotiation, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be results driven and possess experience working in a collaborative team environment across functional organizations
