Provides in-depth analysis of distribution activities. Develops the required measurement and reporting tools necessary to identify trends and issues. Models alternatives that support cost savings initiatives.

1. Develops and provides weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for DC Leadership to compare departmental activity across all sites on activity, cost and performance to allow improved reaction to trends.

2. Conceives, develops and executes weekly, monthly and quarterly measurement and analysis tools to better understand, measure and manage distribution expense.

3. Partners with DC Operations and Industrial Engineering, to develop and execute effective distribution programs that enable cost savings.

4. Identifies opportunities for cost and service improvement and executes as appropriate to meet or exceed financial cost targets and service expectations.

5. Plans, organizes and executes distribution planning in conjunction with distribution teams. Monitors and controls expenses to meet or exceed the agreed program and financial plan.

6. Measures and reports on distribution capacity, Store count and sales to support tactical/strategic planning and Supply Chain strategies.

7. Develops and maintains optimization and staffing modelling to assess and evaluate distribution costs and service, as they relate to distribution operations strategy and direction.

8. Maintains, develops and enhances activity reporting metrics, KPIs and charts to support, research, verify and resolve cost and service issues.

9. Prepares and analyzes various reports to ensure that distribution programs are within cost and service tolerances. Takes appropriate actions when key performance indicators are out of tolerance.

10. Develops documents and communicates standard operating procedures in conjunction with transportation and DC operations to enable improved product flows.

1. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, logistics or operations management required. Master’s degree in business logistics engineering strongly preferred.

2. One to two years experience working within the logistics field and/or working towards an advanced degree in logistics.

3. Advanced knowledge in statistical analysis methods and tools.

4. Advanced skill in Excel required. Proficiency in Access and Powerpoint preferred.

5. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills required.
