**Summary**

The Field Maintenance National Account Manager is critical to the successful retention of Ryder's largest accounts. The incumbent is directly responsible for the improvement of maintenance processes for their assigned national accounts across a broad organization. He/she will measure and report maintenance results to all levels of management within Ryder and the Customer's organization. Must drive compliance across multiple regions and BUs to improve our service to the National Account Customer. Must develop, document and implement integration plans for new national accounts to ensure smooth implementation. This person is accountable for maintenance CSI for assigned accounts and responsible to the customer at the highest level for Ryder's maintenance performance across multiple locations that do not directly report to them.

Must identify and fix operational/maintenance issues. May also have to work within the customer organization to effect changes. Interacts with customers, OEMs and Ryder's internal specifications manager to identify the right unit for the specific customer application

**Essential Functions**

+ Participates in sales calls with the assigned DNA to present the Ryder Maintenance Organization's vision goals and commitments to the perspective account. Assures that commitments made to the customer are in line with Ryder's direction from a maintenance perspective. Evaluate new business for Ryder, including "specialized equipment" that may be viewed as "out of the norm" for Ryder to operate. Provide Maintenance, sales engineering and specification development. Visit customer to assist in sales call. Identification/resolution of operational and maintenance issues and application reviews. Be an active part of the quota process. Support the Pricing group to develop and review realistic and competitive rate factors

+ Review reporting and action on monthly results to include PM currency, running cost, breakdown etc. Contact poor performing locations and set action steps for continuous improvement. In conjunction with Ryder's Technical Assistance Center, develop action plans to address technical issues related to assigned accounts.

+ Work with HQ Maintenance Field Support Services to change company policy related to national accounts

+ Ensure new business signed is in line with Ryder's shop operation standards. Must ensure Ryder shops are tooled and trained for any proposed business prior to signing specialized equipment

+ Excellent PC knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Lotus Notes, Access and Power Point advanced required

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree required in Transportation Management or 15-20 years related transportation management experience

+ Ten (10) years or more related work experience required

+ Excellent PC knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Lotus Notes, Access and Power Point advanced required
