Overview

The Site Manager (SM) is responsible for execution of daily requirements. This SM is the single local point of contact (POC) for each GPMS location. The SM is available within two hours, site local time, to meet (face-to-face or through telephonic communications) with military or Government personnel to resolve GPMS issues. He/she manages site operations and activities within assigned Forward Storage Location (FSL). Coordinates and schedules department activities to ensure site services are provided on a timely basis and in accordance with (IAW) corporate directives. Provides technical and operational guidance, develops and implements efficiency initiatives as identified, and is responsible for the financial performance of all site operations. Monitors site financials, reports key metrics, and implements corrective action to meet site objectives. Coordinates site operations and activities with other locations, military contacts, and regional management.


Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

  1. Under general direction of the Program Manager (PM), the SM is responsible for the daily management and operations at the assigned FSL.
  2. Performs duties IAW the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and established Vectrus policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
  3. Oversees a multinational workforce consisting of American Nationals (AN), Foreign Nationals (FN), and Local Nationals (LN).
  4. Manages and allocates personnel and resources necessary to meet all contract specifications.
  5. Conducts property management and inventory functions, to include documentation and control.
  6. Conducts logistics management functions, to include local procurement activities.
  7. Performs other duties and assignments as required.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

Computers, Microsoft Office, and other software products as required, and standard office equipment/machinery.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is generally conducted in an office environment and at project work areas. Duties, however, may involve the conduct of work outdoors, with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. May be required to work other than standard work hours to ensure effective customer support.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical dangers and chemical or hazardous agents.  Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and published work rules.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications

Qualification:  Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university

Experience:

  • Six years of management experience in related type programs
  • A minimum of 10 years’ management experience in related type programs is acceptable in lieu of an undergraduate degree.
  • The 10 years of relevant experience includes positions of overall management, maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance (QA) of operations and maintenance (O&M) projects or base operations, and at least three years of experience in OCONUS locations.
  • Experience in a high OPSTEMPO environment is desired.
  • Experience managing a multicultural workforce required.
  • Previous base operations support (BOS) or contractor logistics experience is desirable. 
  • Preferred experience includes military leadership experience and previous OCONUS experience.
  • Travel may be required
  • Active Secret Clearance

Skills:

 

Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office software.

Must have proof of US citizenship and a valid state driver’s license, and must be eligible for access throughout the project geographic scope.

Project management skills needed to manage resources, schedules, and costs. Must read, write, and speak English.
