Overview

This position focuses primarily on tracking supplies and materials, and coordinating transportation functions, maintenance, and client services as required. Provides administrative or hands-on support to Materiel Control operations and may involve moving materiel for transport, inspection, or storage. Assists in maintaining and updating orders, records, delivery, and status information as required.

Experience is required in functions such as preparing and maintaining documentation and records associated with inventory management actions; receipt, storage, and issue of property; conducting inventories; or configuration and operation of storage facilities.

 


Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

 

Must have knowledge of materiel management policies, USAF property accounting, stock and inventory control, accountability and responsibility, principles of property accounting, storage methods, warehouse control (receipt, issue, and disposal), materiel handling techniques, methods of preparing and maintaining supply records, automated supply accounting systems, logistics principles (supply, maintenance transportation, and procurement), and hazardous material and waste procedures.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications

 

Completion of high school or GED.

 

 

Experience:

  • Working knowledge of ESS/ILSS
  • Working knowledge of manual and automated supply accounting systems, AFH 23-123, AFI 23-101, and AFMAN 23-122, AFH 23-123 Vol 3, 24-203 Chap 3, AFMAN 25-101 policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of 635th SCOW and USAFE policies and procedures
  • Understanding of deployment or contingency operations is required.
  • Travel may be required
  • Active US Secret Clearance
