Under limited supervision, the IT Software Developer will participate in the coding, testing, and delivery of software solutions that are consistent with AEP standards and practices. The developer must function as a member of a team and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Must have intermediate proficiency in C# development and SQL.  Experience with Excel/VBA, AWS/Lambdas/Redshift, TFS, PowerApps and SSRS are pluses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:

1) Develop or modify code according to AEP standards and practices.

2) Identify and remove software defects.

3) Take direction from technical lead and work with team members.

4) Use software testing tools to assure the creation of software having the fewest defects.

5) Lead and participate in code reviews.

6) Share responsibility and assist team members in achieving goals.

7) Communicate effectively with others.

Minimum Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education requirements are listed below:
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
  • OR Associates Degree in Computer Science with 2 years IT Software Developer related experience,
  • OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years IT Software Developer related experience.


Work Experience requirement listed below:

Typically 4 or more years in dominant project language or related experience. (in addition to any experience identified above)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Physical demand level is Sedentary

1. Licenses/Certifications: Certification in technology relevant to position preferred. 2. May require hours outside of normal workday
