ENSCO, Inc. is hiring a Billing / Cash Applications Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established core team while providing your own unique skills to aid in ENSCO’s growth.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
  • Processing of monthly billings within assigned projects.
  • Accurate and timely billing and prompt collection.
  • Understand the basic contract document(s) as it relates to billing and revenue.
  • Ensure that invoices are in compliance with appropriate contracts, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Input invoices into WAWF or other contract specific submission requirements.
  • Review all aging and Perform collection activity and resolution of outstanding invoices for past due accounts.
  • Prepare and support operations with monthly billing reporting.
  • Reconcile billings, revenue, and unbilled amounts monthly.
  • Maintain and update billing folders and documentations thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company established guidelines.
  • Run daily cash reports and code cash transactions (deposits, ACH payments, transfers, etc.) for posting on the general ledger.
  • Assist with check deposits.
  • Month-end cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare month end journal entries.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • CostPoint experience: 3 years.
  • Government Contracting Billing (T&M, FP, and Cost-Plus invoicing): 3 years.
  • Knowledge and experience in reviewing government contracts awards for billing requirements.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with operational management.
  • Practical Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Well versed using Microsoft Office 2013 products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Takes initiative, is reliable, and completes tasking accurately and on schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Requires excellent oral and written skills.

Qualifications Desired

  • Project revenue recognition experience.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the principles, concepts and practices of budgeting and financial regulations, policies and procedures within the Federal Government Contracting Environment.

Division Description

The Finance Division manages all aspects of the company’s long-term financial decisions and activities in order to maintain a healthy financial position. The division implements ENSCO’s accounting practices, maintains its fiscal records, and prepares its financial reports, general ledgers, fixed asset administration, cost accounting, budgetary controls, capital expenditures, and company chart of accounts.
