Essential Functions: POSITION SUMMARY: Position performs total medical care and provides consultation and education to patients/families under the direction of a physician. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors medical condition of patients, documenting charts and reporting changes as necessary. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with established clinic/hospital standards. Writes initial histories, assesses patients’ conditions and develops individual care plans for patients assigned. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Monitors/ensures accuracy of patient medical records, maintains all required reports, records, statistics, etc. Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops. Required Qualifications: Current MSN with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program. REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Missouri and/or Illinois APN licensure as applicable by state of work location, or ability to successfully obtain licensure within 3 months of date of hire; Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty. Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements). Preferred Qualifications: Mental Health Nurse Practitioner License. Holds current certification in patient care field and required specialty. Applicant Special Instructions: JOB LOCATION/WORKING CONDITIONS : Normal clinic environment or virtual environment, with exposure to patient elements, prolonged extensive or considerable standing/walking, lifting and moving patients, supplies and equipment with variable work schedule. Salary Range: The hiring range for this position is $78,915 - $142,084 annually.
