Essential Functions: POSITION SUMMARY:    This position provides posting of payments, rejections codes, credits and adjustments to the patient accounting system.  Responsible for processing payment batches in a timely manner. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Posts insurance payment and patient payments either from image documents, electronic reports or miscellaneous reports. Completes time records. Performs special projects/duties as assigned by supervisor. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification with two to three years of related experience in bookkeeping/accounting and/or medical collection setting. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to use a ten key by touch. Strong attention to detail and skilled in data entry. Working knowledge of computers, general office equipment, telephone console, medical terminology, collection techniques and communication skills that involve dealing with confidential information. Job Type/Schedule: This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location: This position is in WU Physicians Billing Service.
