Responsibilities

  • Assists Job Seeker Consultants with job seekers regarding job search strategies and training issues, by identifying and working with barriers to employment
  • Demonstrates understanding of target employment sector and career pathways for customers
  • Knowledgeable of outside resources, programs and other services for customers
  • Provides motivational support to customers during the job search process
  • Helps identify new community resources to assist job seekers with barriers
  • Works with community partners to identify resources and develop MOUs outlining referral process
  • Creates and implements an asset map of community resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Is friendly, courteous and presents herself/himself as a professional
  • Is able to handle effectively situations where a large number of customers want her/his attention at the same time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong orgnizational skills.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and ability to work across all levels of management and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel.

  • Extensive standing, sitting, computer, phone, and deskwork required primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours, although flexible hours may be required.

  • Travel when necessary.
