Responsibilities
- Assists Job Seeker Consultants with job seekers regarding job search strategies and training issues, by identifying and working with barriers to employment
- Demonstrates understanding of target employment sector and career pathways for customers
- Knowledgeable of outside resources, programs and other services for customers
- Provides motivational support to customers during the job search process
- Helps identify new community resources to assist job seekers with barriers
- Works with community partners to identify resources and develop MOUs outlining referral process
- Creates and implements an asset map of community resources
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Is friendly, courteous and presents herself/himself as a professional
- Is able to handle effectively situations where a large number of customers want her/his attention at the same time
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong orgnizational skills.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and ability to work across all levels of management and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel.
Extensive standing, sitting, computer, phone, and deskwork required primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours, although flexible hours may be required.
Travel when necessary.
