ENSCO Avionics, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Systems Engineer skilled in full life cycle development for Avionic Flight Control Systems. The position will focus on avionic Systems of Systems with multi-vendor connectivity and integration. The position will focus on understanding end-user needs and work with multiple vendors to create and integrate viable integration and test solutions. Then lead/participate in completing the rest of the development lifecycle cycle from design through integration and requirements compliance testing prior to delivery. Throughout the cycle the position will utilize industry best practice systems engineering and development processes and will consider both the business and the technical needs of the end-user with the goal of providing a quality product that satisfies those needs. This position requires active security clearance.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Experience with Commercial/Military Avionic Systems Engineering process
  • Experience with System level Requirements generation
  • Experience with Systems level Integration Test Plans, Procedures, and Results
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients, and colleagues
  • AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

Qualifications Desired

  • Avionic Human Machine Interface HMI experience
  • Adaptive technology and white space solutions are considered a plus
  • Experience with Project level subcontract management
  • Requirements management experience using DOORS or similar tool
  • Configuration management experience using RAZOR, SYNERGY, or similar tool
  • Communications systems experience such as CAN, 1553
  • Systems Engineering Certification
