Our Subsystem and Software Sustainment Operating Unit (S&SS OU) Components Engineering team is seeking a Principle Manufacturing Analyst to join their diverse team in Warner Robins, GA. This Principle Manufacturing Analyst will have the opportunity to perform Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) assessments and surveillance of various avionics systems, establishing and maintaining an OU wide Standard Parts List (SPL), and working with the other engineering disciplines, Program Management, Material Operations and Mission Assurance to minimize parts obsolescence for the Avionics systems we design and maintain. In addition, s/he will support process development and maturity efforts to ensure DMSMS risks are mitigated. Come be a part of our mission!

Job duties:
  • Performs Engineering Bill of Material (EBOM) analysis/review and loads resultant into commercial DMSMS surveillance tool.
  • Performs and reports periodic DMSMS surveillance activities for each of the selected avionics systems.
  • Serves as the Components Engineering representative on the programs' DMSMS Integrated Product team.
  • Establishes and maintains the SPL, performs periodic DMSMS surveillance and updates the SPL as applicable.
  • Supports design, selection and qualification of Electrical, Electronic, Electro-Mechanical and Electro-Optical components for inclusion on the SPL and EBOMs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Operating Unit policies, processes and procedures making recommendations on process tailoring, participating in and documenting process activities with regards to Components Engineering.
  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each program's DMSMS position and will support corrective action activities until all actions are closed.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or related discipline with 6 years related experience and 5 years of avionics hardware experience; or 4 years' experience with a Master's degree in science and 3 years of avionics hardware experience, engineering or related discipline; or 10 years in lieu of a degree
  • Recent practical working experience and knowledge of Electrical, Electronic, Electro-Mechanical and Electro-Optical equipment with emphasis on design and/or repair
  • Basic understanding of DMSMS concepts and obsolescence mitigation approaches
  • Must be able to obtain or possess a valid U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (or higher)
  • Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in DMSMS surveillance and mitigation activities
  • Technical Degree and/or military training a plus
  • Experience with IHS BOM Intelligence and/or Silicon Expert
  • Experience with evaluating Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP).
