Job Description Summary

Identity and Access Management (IAM) team within Travelers Cybersecurity organization is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to join the Infrastructure and Production support team. The position will ensure smooth running of a complex fleet of Linux, Windows, SQL and LDAP Directory servers, and work across the organization with diverse engineering teams and lines of business to quickly troubleshoot, identify root cause and resolve business impacting incidents. On-call duties and participation in troubleshooting calls after hours/weekends to resolve critical application/system issues or to implement scheduled changes, are required in this position.

Successful candidates will be a highly technical, self-motivated, learning agile and people oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic and changing environment; capable of remaining organized, focused and professional in high pressure situations; multi-tasks effectively; and possesses effective written and oral communication skills.

Under general supervision, demonstrates a thorough understanding of the activities performed related to engineering support, installation and/or operations of infrastructure technologies. Plans at an operational level designing and developing technology solutions interfacing with appropriate customers, management and technical resources. Facilitates and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of large complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas. Develops and implements appropriate solutions that may involve multiple platforms, databases, software/hardware technologies and tools. Strong ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities. This job may function as a team lead.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes work and manages projects within established budget objectives and customer priorities.
  • Responsible for establishing and managing to established quality control and security protocols.
  • Provides the division, department and business area management with timely and accurate information regarding the status and performance of the assigned project(s).
  • Leverages technology to develop, redesign and/or implement optimal technology solutions.
  • Builds, leverages, and maintains effective alliances across technical and business community.
  • Interacts with customers to achieve efficient, effective results.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes according to business priorities and production availability requirements.
  • Provide production support to Web Access Management services supported by IAM, including, SiteMinder, Access Gateway, Okta, Profile Abstraction data provisioning, SSO certificates renewal.
  • Provide production support for Identity Management services supported by IAM including Sailpoint IIQ, DUO.
  • Setup and support Autosys batch jobs.
  • Provide change tickets management support for Identity & Access Management services, creating and implementing changes, resolving incidents, investigating problem and completing service requests.
  • Coordinate, communicate and implement LOB impacting changes adhering to change management requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, required.
  • Three years of experience in Technology required.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

  • Five years of experience in Technology preferred.
  • Experience providing technical direction to project teams preferred.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc. preferred.

Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Working experience of Identity & Access Management skills like CA SSO(SiteMinder), CA Access Gateway, Okta SSO, SailPoint IIQ, DUO
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and server administration
  • Advanced knowledge of LDAP server installation, configuration, LDIF files and directory support
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL commands
  • Good knowledge of F5(Load balancer), DNS, DHCP, & IP configuration
  • Working experience of Active Directory
  • Experience with BMC Remedy ticketing tool
  • Good to have experience with DUO
  • Good to have scripting knowledge like Perl/Shell/PowerShell

  • Work off hours and weekends
  • Participate in nights and weekends critical applications on call support
