We are actively hiring for a Staff Business Analyst - Finance to join our General Dynamic Ordnance and Tactical Systems team in St, Petersburg, FL. As a Staff Business Analyst, you will provide technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. You will also develop, analyze, design, implement and support complex business applications, business processes, functions, procedures, analytical solutions and report writing for OTS enterprise-wide systems by performing the following duties.


  • Understands finance and accounting principles and applies knowledge to the implementation of new financial systems and processes.
  • Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and processes that drive efficiencies into the organization.
  • Performs system testing and change control, proactively communicates issues and carries through to resolution.
  • Develops and executes complex business applications, analytical solutions and report writing.
  • Implements and supports all OTS enterprise-wide business systems and reporting tools. Provides end-user support, develops documentation and training and proactively updates when necessary.
  • Very strong technical and analytical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of the user communities’ requirements so they can be transformed into application and operational requirements and ultimately, operational efficiencies.
  • Leads in problem definition and analysis and has the ability to understand business needs and develop solutions.
  • Support functions will include troubleshooting reports, analysis of data, requirements gathering for enhancements and training in the use of all OTS enterprise-wide business systems and reporting tools.
  • Active working knowledge of US GAAP, FAR/DFARS, CAS, MMAS, EVMS and/or DCAA/DCMA compliance preferred.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance from four-year college or university.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years relevant experience within their function and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • An individual must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on advanced Excel functions and modeling.

  • Knowledge of Internet software; Project Management software and Data warehousing software preferred.

  • Knowledge of IFS ERP for user support and report writing preferred.

  • Must possess relevant, practical business analysis and data warehousing experience.
