Job Family Summary

The Underwriting Supplier Team is responsible for collaborating with internal and external business partners to ensure the most efficient and effective processes and tools are operating as designed while working towards continual improvement. The team is also responsible for analytics, ad-hoc requests, implementation, analyzing and communicating metrics, project management and supplier relationships.

Job Description

The Underwriting Supplier Team Lead Consultant will execute functional and technical strategies, manage internal and external partner relationships while evaluating processes to identify and introduce new efforts for innovation and improvement. They will serve as an expert to their assigned tool, process and/or supplier for teams across Product Operations providing resources to support actionable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages responsibility for internal / external business partner relationships by managing the tools and services
  • Actively builds strong relationships to ensure cooperation on objectives
  • Continuously researches and interprets data to identify opportunities to impact growth and profit and leads direct report through analytics and reporting
  • Evaluates trend analysis and recommends changes based on findings
  • Acts as the liaison between business unit and systems or other areas of responsibilities as required based assigned projects
  • Trains / coaches team members or peers and actively shares expertise with other disciplines, taking in recommendations for upcoming action items
  • Leads in both supplier and project management
  • Plans, implements, manages, and / or sponsors: high complexity and / or large-scale key initiatives
  • Continuously searches for process improvement, collaboratively leads the application of new ideas
  • Formulates strategies to achieve plan objectives, influences others to gain alignment at all organizational levels
  • Tracks plan performance and develops cost / benefit analysis; communicates impact of tools / services
  • Develops and presents communication strategies and materials to support plan, programs, processes and tools
  • Provides expertise on systems or applications as needed by a department / discipline
  • Processes advanced working knowledge of policies and procedures in management and underwriting
  • Serves as a subject matter expert; consults on complex issues within their disciplines from an internal perspective

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience with a background in project management or product development preferred
  • Advanced industry and computer proficiency (Excel, Powerpoint and Word), analytical skills and of data resources
  • Expertise in product, price, underwriting and insurance knowledge
  • Ability to understand business tactics to support changing business strategies and direction
  • Collaborates to implement decisions and/or initiatives in an integrated manner

Compensation Data

Compensation for this position will start at $75,900. Actual salary offered will depend on selected candidate's experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
