Wells Fargo is seeking a Paralegal 2 for a position within the Innovation and Change Delivery section within the Consumer Lending division.

This paralegal will:
• Provide legal and operational support to a growing number of cross-functional product development teams across the Consumer Lending division
• Support the development and deployment of an engagement model to enhance the effectiveness of Legal, Operational Risk, and Compliance Department engagement with cross-functional product development groups in Home Lending, Auto, Credit Cards, Retail & Merchant Services, Personal Lending, Consumer Lending Control, and Consumer Lending Shared Services.
• Support the identification, assessment, and disposition of legal, operational, and reputational risks associated with business innovations developed in an Agile production environment
• Support the assessment of customer-facing and back-office processes, procedures, and products in adherence with company-wide policies and applicable laws
• Coordinate the engagement and operation of cross-functional Legal, Operational Risk, and Compliance teams tasked with the assessment of business initiatives developed in an Agile production environment
• Support the analysis and interpretation of policies and procedures affecting the development of innovative business initiatives
• Prepare and review agreements and documents under the direction of an attorney

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience demonstrated through work or military experience

Other Desired Qualifications

• Ability to perform and support the analysis of legal and operational issues affecting key line of business and enterprise-wide stakeholders
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to perform research and support the analysis of complex legal questions and inquiries
• Ability to analyze and interpret new laws or changes to existing laws to determine applicability to business practices and provide guidance on relevant changes.
• Ability to identify specific as well as broad, underlying issues in the area of expertise and work independently on complex assignments without direct supervision.
• Ability to prepare or review agreements and documents under the direction of an attorney
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities
• Relevant experience supporting clients on federal and state regulatory matters
• Prior experience using Westlaw to research and resolve issues and matters, which may involve substantial legal or factual complexity, through detailed review and/or examination of documentation and/or factual investigation.
• Ability to collaborate and work well with others, including team members in the section and across the Legal division.

Job Expectations
