Fawcett Memorial Hospital is currently accepting applications for a CT Technologist (CT Tech) on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis.  ARRT (CT) and BLS required.  Flexible availability needed to cover varied shifts on weekdays and weekends.  Rotating call coverage may also be assigned as needed.
 
The CT Technologist will:
  • Perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a caring, compassionate and respectful manner.
  • Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures.
  • Demonstrate concern and empathy to patients.
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner.
  • Document all pertinent patient information prior to exam and obtains informed consent.
  • Obtain high-quality CT images and remain proficient in executing software protocols.
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists.
  • Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and maintain effective communication with patients.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology program at an accredited, AMA-approved institution
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology; acute-care hospital setting preferred
  • Valid ARRT (CT)
  • Clear/Active Florida licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
