Job Description and Qualifications

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will manage a wide variety of projects across the IT Infrastructure and Security departments. IT projects range from highly complex technology-based projects which change technical platforms and architectures to strategic business projects that significantly change the business processes and practices.  

 

The IT Project Portfolio typically has over 100 active projects at any me. These projects are sponsored by our business supply chains, business segments, and global process management teams worldwide delivering IT Solutions and Services. Project types include infrastructure and application-based IT Solutions both internally built and externally purchased or hosted.  

Accountabilities: 

  • Manage multiple and/or large, complex projects which support multiple business areas and geographies 
  • Accountable for leading project teams from option generation through execution to meet stated business and project objectives 
  • Accountable and responsible for establishment and measurement of key project objectives 
  • Overall accountability for clarifying, developing, evaluating and documenting individual project plans 
  • Ensure project team cohesiveness in an environment where team members are in multiple locations and of diverse cultural backgrounds 
  • Balance business desires/requirements with IT possibilities and cost constraints 
  • Participate in eliciting, validating, and documenting business requirements which ensure “value-add” and meet client objectives 
  • Demonstrated track record with all aspects of project management including extensive stakeholder management with senior level customers 
  • Experience as an enthusiastic, motivating leader that understands how to identify and leverage strengths and weaknesses within the team. A critical component of this position is the ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to plan and estimate technology-related projects 
  • Ability to manage conflict within the team as well as with stakeholder groups 
  • The ability to communicate effectively with senior level managers, as well as the technical team 

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • BS degree in business, computer science or related field, or equivalent technical training and experience 
  • Approximately 7+ years related experience, with focus on project management and requirements analysis preferred 
  • PMP Certification or Project Management Certification highly desired 
  • Technical understanding of the systems and tools required for process manufacturing organizations during the building of green field projects and then for operations.

Possess the following technical skills: 

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Industry IT Project Execution Methodologies 
  • Avid user of Microsoft Project or equivalent for detailed project scheduling 
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Reporting Tool 
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM 

Project experience base which includes one of the following: 

  • Project Management of Infrastructure systems and services 
  • Project Management of Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestures 
  • Project Management of SAP Deployments (or Enterprise Equivalent) both ERP and HR areas 

 

  • There is no “per diem” with this position
  • There is no relocation budgeted for this position. If this position requires you to relocate you will be responsible for those costs.
