Requisition Number: S_200631 Department: Housing: Selleck Residence Life-1147 Description of Work: The Senior Residence Director position is a full-time live-in role that has primary responsibility for managing the daily operations of Selleck Quadrangle and Kauffman Academic Residential Center. Key functions of the position include staff selection and supervision, student behavioral education, occupancy management, policy enforcement, student leadership development and community building through intentional student engagement and education. The Senior Residence Director is expected to implement a student development approach, and in all aspects of the position be guided by the core values of respect, education and service. Among other professional staff, the Senior Residence Director will work primarily with Residence Life Services Supervisors, Residence Directors, Assistant and Associate Directors of Residence Life, Contracts staff, Facilities and Dining Staff managers, as well as maintain a variety of campus partnerships including with the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Student Affairs, College Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education or a related field. Two years of experience as a Residence Director (or equivalent position), including supervision of RAs. Participation in professional staff on call duty rotation. Ability to develop and maintain close relationships in collaboration with faculty and staff from Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. Ability to communicate and work well with others. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and e-mail systems. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Student Affairs, College Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education or a related field. Experience serving as a judicial hearing officer adjudicating college/university policy violations; Hall government advising; budgeting; supervising graduate student or office/service staff.
