Current Need
We are seeking a CQRE Senior Program Manager - Surgical Oncology to join our team in a remote/work-from-home capacity (US-based).

Position Description
Under minimal supervision, provides applicable billing/coding and related reimbursement guidelines, to include federal/state laws and regulatory requirements affecting daily business operations applicable to Surgical Oncology. This information is researched and delivered to Providers and staff in the U.S. Oncology Network through face-to face communication, regular network publications, electronic and voice communications. Participates in the development and maintenance of reimbursement education materials, reviews data reports for coding compliance and provides and/or coordinates the necessary education. Supports and adheres to The US Oncology Compliance program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. MUST be an advocate for the practice, be pro-active, curious, and possess a thorough knowledge of daily radiation treatments. Must have exceptional communication skills and MUST be able to speak to and relate to the Providers and staff in Surgical Oncology and Research. This position requires a close working relationship with Providers and staff. Extensive knowledge of government regulations and applicable reimbursement laws and regulations required. Influencing skills of senior leaders to gain acceptance of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Works with Providers and practice management to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Educate and provide guidance related to ICD-10-CM, HCPCS coding systems. Strong knowledge of HCC and Risk
  • Consults with Providers and practice management to set long term coding and billing education strategies.
  • Research, prepare, develop and deliver subject matter material to The Network practice physicians, clinical team and business staff via on-site, web based, and other methods of training.
  • Conduct, participate and provide support in monthly calls including Surgical Oncology and other key team meetings
  • Research related to government regulations and commercial payer policies. Prepares and disseminates monthly newsletter.
  • Develop action plan to ensure ongoing tools alignment for ongoing training
  • Develops Surgical Oncology Program for large network specializing in General, Breast, Gyn, Urology, and Colorectal.

Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

Critical Skills
  • Current CPC, CCS-P certification
  • 5+ Years Surgical and Evaluation & Management Teaching and coding
  • Current with understanding Compliance and Regulatory Guidelines.
  • 4+ Years direct experience in coding, medical records and reimbursement
  • 4+ Years' experience working directly with and training Physicians and staff.
  • 3+ Years direct supervisory experience coaching, developing, and managing staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Additional Knowledge and Skills
  • People leader skills and experience
  • Instructional educational experience with a CPC-I or like credential preferred

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Healthcare Administration or related field or equivalent experience
