The Fischer Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a Structural and Chemical Biology Lab that combines molecular biology, computational biology, structural biology and chemistry with various âOmicsâ™ techniques to study the pathways and protein complexes involved in the regulation of protein homeostasis often associated with human diseases, including cancer. Using our knowledge of the cellular degradation machinery, we use structure and computational guided approaches to develop new molecules that hijack the ubiquitin proteasome system for targeted protein degradation. The Fischer lab (https://fischerlab.dana-farber.org/) seeks a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Lead Research Technician who will focus on mass spectrometry-based technologies to assess the cellular proteome in response to external stimuli. This individual will be an important member of our research team and will collaborate with scientists, postdocs and students on a variety of different research projects focused on targeted protein degradation as a novel therapeutic modality. While we consider various backgrounds, technical understanding of mass spectrometers and hands-on experience is a must, and a strong interest in mass spectrometry-based proteomics is highly desirable.
