1. Assists in formulating long-term goals to provide for the development and direction of the area of responsibility, ensuring conformity and uniformity with University policies. 2. Directs new systems development and modification of existing systems. 3. Evaluates user needs and implements systems and solutions to best service the community. 4. Consults with users to diagnose and resolve complex problems. 5. Serves as a liaison between area of responsibility and other areas to serve University goals. 6. Develops troubleshooting and problem resolution programs to ensure a high level of service and efficiency. 7. Directs a staff of non-exempt and exempt employees. 8. May perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Education:   Advanced degree in technology. Ten years experience leading a technical team that has been actively developing and maintaining applications. Salesforce/CRM program management experience. Ability to influence stakeholders and in supporting a gallery, library, archive, or museums, open source technologies and the communities that are leveraged to support these platforms. Proven ability to build and maintain influence as well as trust. Ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate value while also maintaining flexibility. Required Skill/ability 4:   Excellent planning and organization skills. Required Skill/ability 2:   Proven experience with application life cycle management and software development life cycle with open source software development. Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, cloud computing, data, architecture and web technologies. Bachelor's Degree in a related field and ten years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
