Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell AERO Electronic Solutions. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be involved in every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have ownership of the development and qualification for EMI/EMC testing of a system or product. He/She will also be responsible for:

  • Assisting/directing the preparation of the EMC Control Plan
  • Assisting/directing the preparation of the EMC Test Plan/Procedure/Report
  • Participating in EMC system and LRU debug efforts
  • The successful candidate will also interface with System Engineers, design engineers, and the customers as required to recommend applicable EMC tests to satisfy their requirements. Duties include oversight and performance of lab measurements to verify LRU, CCA, and system Signal Integrity, isolate Signal Integrity effects during debug efforts, development of Qual Test Procedures/Reports, and development/recommendation of new technologies
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to locations within the corporation to assist in troubleshooting efforts, attend design review meetings, and work off shifts hours as necessary

Travel within US and/ or internationally may be required - 10%


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in HIRF testing, specifically with the RF Reverberation Chamber Method
  • 2+ years experience using Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Due to export control regulations, this position requires US citizenship status
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English


  • Significant directly related work experience. Will also consider 6+ years of experience with Master’s degree
  • Strong background in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects standards/specifications or equivalent commercial standards
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to locations within the corporation to assist in troubleshooting efforts, attend design review meetings, and work off shifts hours as necessary
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks and people
  • Making autonomous decisions
  • Self-starter, versatile, problem solver, and have a willingness to work as part of a team
  • Experience with creating/editing test documents for each phase of the Qual test cycle
  • Experience with operating the test equipment associated with EMI/EMC Qual testing
  • Responsible for troubleshooting design development and production EMI/EMC problems
  • Responsible for training/mentoring Technicians/Jr. Engineers in EMI/EMC test processes/procedures
  • Responsible for in house EMC design verification testing as well overseeing independent test lab qualification testing
  • Working knowledge of commercial (Boeing, Airbus) and military EMI/EMC test procedures - RTCA DO-160 or MIL-STD 461/464
  • iNARTE certification is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with other aspects of EMC including ESD, EMP and lightning induced transients
  • Familiarity with NEXIO and EMC32 measurement software
  • Familiarity with EMC design and test requirements for aircraft and ground systems
