The Senior Director of Provider Marketing will build and lead a new centralized Provider Marketing team that will develop best-in-class marketing programs to promote Anthem’s business and clinical initiatives with the Health Care Provider Community. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the U.S. health care provider ecosystem including hospital-owned, physician-owned, and independent physician practices. In addition, candidates should have demonstrated success in building a new team/function within a matrixed marketing organization. Key personal qualities include strategic thinker, hands-on, highly collaborative, and resilient.   

 As the leader of this team, you will:
  • Be a subject matter expert on health care providers and other key care delivery stakeholders.
  • Work with Network Contracting, Value-Based Care, Clinical Quality, and other teams to provide marketing support for initiatives that require Provider support/engagement.  
  • Develop Anthem’s annual provider marketing plan
  • Build and grow a world-class Provider Marketing Team
  • Leverage customer and market information to identify and assess business opportunities which create customer value and profitably grow the business. 
  • Develop and implement a performance measurement program to report and monitor progress against goals and implement changes to effect improvement, and/or react to changes in the organization or industry. 
  • Prepare executive presentations regarding marketing programs for senior management groups. 
  • Make recommendations to appropriate functions to achieve product modifications or improvements derived from market research, technical service work, or Marketing feedback. 
  • Develop and recommend department operating budgets; review and revise financial reports, and prepare departmental statistics. 

Qualifications

  • Have earned a BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration, or similar field; have 10 years of sales, marketing, or healthcare experience including 5 years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 
  • Provider marketing experience preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or a similar field preferred.
