Overview

Under supervision of the HR Manager, responsible for OCONUS n-MIRDO HR Operations. Plans and schedules work for assigned staff in a wide variety of HR functional and aoperational areas. Supervises the application of HR policies in, HR operations, training, medical service, safety, employee benefits, workers compensation, personal records, industrial security, and related HR administrative matters at the OCONUS n-MIRDO. Maintains compliance with contractual requirements and established company policies. Responsible for the overall functions of HR, to include training, policy administration, employee relations, benefits, worker's compensation, expatriate policies/procedures, international human resources, interface with recruiting, project management, site and corporate HR staffs.

  • Responsible for planning and scheduling work of assigned staff in a wide variety of HR operational and functional areas.
  • Supervises the application of HR policies in: HR operations, training, medical service, safety, employee benefits, workers compensation, personal records, industrial security, and related HR administrative matters at the OCONUS n-MIRDO.
  • Maintains compliance with contractual requirements and established company policies.
  • Supervises staff that tracks inter-theater movement of personnel, hotel operations, restriction of movement policy for direct hires and subcontractor personnel.
  • Confers with managers/supervisors, CONUS and OCONUS HR, and site personnel regarding employee travel, planning activities, and problems encountered.
  • Liaison with vendors such as hotel, travel, medical vendor, transportation to ensure frictionless operations.
  • Coordinates operations with GSD, Corp HR, and project and site management.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • MANDATORY JOB QUALIFICATIONS FOR VECTRUS LOGCAP POSITIONS
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
    • Five-years experience in HR
    • Practical knowledge of assigned HR functional areas
    • Previous experience working on a Government Contract or LOGCAP required.
    • Direct experience working in Dubai preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
    • Experience Leader and Mentor with superior delegation skills
    • Skilled working in a team-orientated environment and able to demonstrate strong customer service skills within an organization.
    • Communicates professionally orally and in writing
    • Previous knowledge in an HRIS systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, etc.)
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    • Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures and war zones.
  • PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
    • Work may require heavy lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
