Whatyou will do

Undergeneral supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, andcommissioning and general servicing of HVAC Automation Systems (includingdetailed troubleshooting of systems). Responsible for high levels ofcustomer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Mentors technicianson building automation activities. Properly completes required project andservice documentation.

Howyou will do it

1. Diagnoseand repair complex electronic control system malfunction's requiring extensiveknowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability totest and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.

2. Providesketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections anddrawings.

3. Communicatewith customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensure highlevels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customer to becomefamiliar with operating problems. Keeps customer informed on the natureof service provided outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements,upgrades, and or repairs. Promotes the sale of add-on work.

4. Manageassigned work to meet professional execution, of time and customersatisfaction. Reports problems or changes to managementimmediately. Interfaces with branch manager, service manager, serviceproject manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities asrequired in an ethical and professional manner.

5. Adhereto all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards. Provides safetyawareness on work sites.

6. Mayprovide training to customers on electronic control systems operations.Delivers manuals and documentation to the customer for training needs asrequired. Mentors and trains workforce on building automation systems. Providessupport to the staff on non-complex, non-critical equipment.

7. Compilejob documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training forms,training certificates and punch lists.

8. Conductextensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintaintechnical proficiency in company's product lines. Completescertifications as required by the company.



Whatwe look for

Required

VocationalSchool four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, electronicsystems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus threeyears of industry experience or five years’ experience in servicing electronicand/or systems in the HVAC industry. Generally required knowledge includes HVACcontrols systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheralequipment installation and servicing techniques. Effective interpersonalskills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outsidecontacts in an ethical and professional manner. Ability to explaintechnical information to technical and non-technical people. Leadershipskills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex,non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site. PC experiencerequired and the ability to program HVAC related software.
