The Purugganan Laboratory has an opening for postdoctoral associate to work on the evolutionary genomics of rice at New York University.  The research projects focus on identifying and characterizing genes associated with environmental adaptation in rice. Candidates should have a Ph.D. with an interest in environmental and/or evolutionary questions. Candidates should have a strong record of research productivity, and able to work semi-independently. The position is based in the NYU Center for Genomics and Systems Biology, in downtown Manhattan and will be part of a thriving research community that includes colleagues working on a broad range of topics.  The pay is competitive, and starting dates are flexible.
