What you will do

This position is a part of our BuildingTechnologies & Solutions business at Johnson Controls. Due to our continuedgrowth with our current customer, Straub Hospital, we are adding this positionto our team. This person will be located at/near Honolulu, HI.

You will be performing a variety ofrepairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a highemphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, building maintenance, carpentry, paintingand plumbing. Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic, Security Systems,BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and systems is a PLUS.

How you will do it

Service, Repair, Maintain, Monitor andAdjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters. Maintain facility andequipment such as boilers, air handling units, roof top equipment, split systemAC units and appliances, etc. Perform a variety of service work, generalmaintenance and custodial activities. This may include carpentry, painting,minor grounds keeping, along with facility repairs to building systems,electrical fixtures, small machines, and equipment. Provides direction andtraining to less experienced O&M Specialists. Plans, selects, and lays outrequired materials for service, repair and preventive maintenance work. Worksfrom drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions andoperates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations. Requisitionsnew supplies and equipment. Performs all work in accordance with establishedsafety procedures. Is required to participate in an on-call rotation scheduleto attend to emergency situations at the facility. Complies with all companypolicies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Perform other dutiesas required.



What we lookfor:

Required:

•Completion of a two year technical degree or two years’ experience as anO&M Maintenance Specialist or completion of an apprenticeship program.

•Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient todeal with service and repairs. Someone with strong maintenance/hands ontechnical experience.

•Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highestcaliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces,lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.

•Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

•May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools, man lift or forklift.

•May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.

•Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment and have aleadership background.

•Must be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview.

Preferred:

•Five or more years’ experience in operations and maintenance.

•Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification.
