Eaton’s industrial sector is currently seeking a Lead Accounting Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Hydraulic Headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN.

Position Overview:

The Lead Accounting Analyst will have 70% accounting responsibility including supporting the Americas Hydraulics Headquarter ledgers with month-end close processes to include journal entries, intercompany reconciliation and B/S account reconciliations, budget forecasting and profit planning, expense and variance analysis, completion of year-end reporting requirements, liaison with the India financial support team and other ad hoc projects as needed. 30% is FP&A responsibilities including supporting headquarter and plant ledger analysis. Assisting in creating or maintaining financial analysis models for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts and results.

In this function you will:

+ Supports headquarter budget owners with forecasting and profit planning activities.

+ Prepares insightful analysis that drives data-oriented decision making by deploying efficient data analysis techniques and tools.

+ Communicates headquarter results to senior leadership and budget owners on a monthly basis, with commentary and variance analysis.

+ Supports the transition of standard work activities from headquarters and operations to a financial support team in India.

+ Supports headquarters controller with other requirements including year-end reporting, balance sheet reviews, account reconciliations, internal/external audit requests, accounting process documentation and strategic planning.

+ Works in a team environment with other analysts and financial colleagues to streamline and drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization.

+ Ensures compliance with SOX, internal controls, Eaton financial policies and US GAAP.

+ Supports Corporate, Industrial Sector or Hydraulics related initiatives as needed.

Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Hydraulics Business to Danfoss A/S. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of Q1 2021 and this position is expected to remain with the Hydraulics Business and would transfer to Danfoss A/S. upon close. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Hydraulics Business when the transaction closes, Danfoss A/S will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business and/or finance from an accredited institution

+ Minimum three (3) years of accounting and/or finance experience

+ Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Eden Prairie, MN will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

+ MBA or master’s in finance or accounting from an accredited institution

+ Manufacturing accounting/finance experience

Position Criteria:

+ Strong interest in budget forecasting/planning and monthly reporting. Functionally proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel) preferred.

+ Requires strong attention to detail and personal commitment to quality

+ Superior analytical and thinking skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving

+ Demonstrated ability to improve processes

+ Sense of urgency, self-motivated; focused
