Trust & Safety (T&S) is a new function, whose objective is to ensure we have the policies, products and programs in place to enable our customers, partners, suppliers and the communities we serve to view the entire Apple ecosystem as the safest and most trusted in the world! In order to deliver on this mission, we are creating a T&S Business Operations Manager role. This role reports to the Director of Trust and Safety for IS&S and is responsible for setting up and operating a T&S Center of Excellence, delivering a consistent T&S approach across Apple, effectively anticipating and responding to T&S risks and ensuring senior executives are appraised of goals and progress at all times.

  • - Have prior experience of working collaboratively in cross-functional programs at Apple
  • - Be both strategic and detailed oriented, with an ability to excite and bring others along in a vision while also being able to manage the detail necessary to establish a new and operationally efficient function
  • - Be experienced in establishing and operating repeatable, reliable and scalable business processes
  • - Be skilled in running day-to-day operations as well as adept at turning strategic concepts into initiatives/processes that can be executed
  • - Have experience of defining/implementing metrics that measure the efficacy of business operations and using those metrics to drive meaningful continuous improvement initiatives
  • - Have the ability to assimilate large and disparate amounts of data/information and present in such a way as to derive insights and drive action
  • - Have the ability to quickly establish credibility, trust and respect at all levels

Recognizing that this is a new function that will evolve over time: Lead cross-functional efforts to assimilate disparate ideas, requirements, data and direction to build a new T&S organization from the ground up Develop an operating model for T&S that anticipates the need for a nuanced approach ranging from providing guidace/advice though to auditing/identifying remedial actions through to advising/driving T&S design efforts Build a T&S Center of Excellence (CoE) as an Apple-wide resource for teams seeking T&S guidance, including sharing standards, best practices and conducting audits/assessments Establish and operate an ongoing education program on T&S principles and best practices Develop capabilities that facilitate connection, sharing and collaboration between teams operating in areas covered by T&S policy Use these capabilities/connections to identify areas where T&S policy needs to be established, improved or re-aligned and drive those efforts Identify all sources for potential T&S issues and establish mechanisms for reporting/tracking those issues and their resolution. In many cases this will involve tapping into existing mechanisms to extract insights and to ensure T&S issues are identified and handled consistently according to T&S policy Effectively plan for, lead and report on T&S policy development, operating model implementation and key project progress. This should include identifying the key executive stakeholders and ensuring their broad dedication to the program of work Lead related projects including requirements gathering, solution definition, development and deployment Establish a community of T&S champions throughout Apple whose role it is to advocate/manage implementation of T&S policy and identify new/emerging policy needs

The successful candidate will have 10+ years management experience with specific proven examples that demonstrate proficiency in the areas listed above. BA/BS required, advanced degree a plus.
