Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Senior Capture Manager to join the Federal Civilian Division's exceptional Business Solutions & Strategies team and lead the capture of large scale government contracts. You will be responsible for driving the capture process, working in close collaboration with business line leadership, business development executives, and our team of world-class solution architects. You will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities, and spearhead opportunities of >$125M in total contract value, increasing the company's probability of success.

Both the diverse nature of our existing portfolio and the scale of our $10B company will ensure that you will regularly take on new challenges as our business and mission-impact expands.Though this position is based out of our headquarters in Falls Church, VA, remote work is to be expected given the ongoing public health crisis and the remote work may continue once the pandemic has subsided. Periodic travel may be required, but only once it is safe to do so.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Working in conjunction with Business Development, Senior Capture Managers are responsible for developing and executing capture strategies for their assigned opportunities, with the goal of securing new and/or re-compete contracts with a sizeable contract value (>$125M).
  • They are responsible for applying all necessary corporate resources to develop win themes, solutions, competitive assessments, teaming strategies, pricing strategy recommendations (based on a price to win and other competitive assessments), communications plans, action plans, and execution plans for the opportunities that they are assigned
  • Senior Capture Managers will brief GDIT's executive leadership team on high visibility corporate pursuits, instilling confidence in our likelihood of success and taking advantage of their vast knowledge and engagement to improve the state of each individual capture.
  • Senior Capture Managers are held responsible for the effective execution of capture pursuits, tracking performance to cost and schedule, and regularly communicating status to leadership.
  • GDIT's Senior Capture Managers, support Business Development executives and/or Account Team members as they work to develop account plans and maintain high quality relationships with both customers and partners, including next generation technology vendors.
  • They shape opportunities by developing and implementing a capture strategy that highlight's GDIT's value proposition and discriminators, thereby improving our position throughout the opportunity lifecycle and giving customers a clear justification for selecting GDIT for award.
  • Senior Capture Managers facilitate proposal management activities in support of RFP, RFQ, Task Order, and/or RFI responses. This role may include such activities as creating response templates, creating and managing the calendar, developing and managing to the B&P budget, taking the lead on desk top publishing, and/or providing production support in advance of final submission.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related discipline
  • 12+ years of experience leading capture activities, including the successful capture of large contracts
  • Demonstrable experience leading opportunities with >$125M in total contract value
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Federal Sales, Business Development and/or Strategic Capture and Proposal Management.
  • Experience with win theme development, pricing, and staffing activities


The likely salary range for this position is $132,795 - $221,767, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
