Join the Advanced Forensics and Cyber Team of technical leaders that delivers advanced technical solutions to government intelligence agencies and offers highly-challenging positions with significant impact on national security in the areas of computer forensics/mobile device forensics; data and media recovery; reverse engineering; intrusion analysis and methodologies; and vulnerability assessments.  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career-minded, and customer-oriented Computer Forensics Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work with Lead Engineers to develop and plan the Security Roadmap.

• Help develop and execute plans for new technologies to enhance security capabilities.

• Collaborate with Portfolio and Service owners to bring Security and Networking solutions together to improve boundary and internal security protections.

• Assist in executing long-term plans for Infrastructure and security, perimeter, and endpoint services.

• Help produce engineering design documentation for perimeter security, endpoint, and cyber defense mechanisms.

• Help engineer, design, and implement solutions for enhancing the existing infrastructure, as well as research and collaborate with stake holders and users for new technologies to enhance the security program.

• Contribute to all security strategies, planning, and development of the network perimeter, proxy service, end point, cyber, and firewall support.

• Help establish Engineering and Operational policies, work with other security engineers, developing security best practices and implementation plans for networking, sites, WAN, voice, media, mobile, end point solutions.

• Contribute to the development of technical solutions to solve complex problems.

• Interact with customer directly.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 2 or more years’ related experience.

• Strong organizational, communications, and critical-thinking skills.

• Knowledge in Forensic examinations of High Priority Digital Media in some or all of the subject areas below:

  • Full-Scope forensic examinations.
  • File system forensics.
  • Advanced registry and Internet history analysis.
  • Steganography detection and analysis.
  • Large data set analysis and Target language
  • Forensic tool and script development.
  • Metadata extraction and analysis.

• Knowledge in Network forensics and analysis in some or all of the subject areas below 

  • Generation of forensic reports of interest to customers.
  • Coordination, development, and promulgation of forensic and technical exploitation standards for the customer.
  • Technical support for federated partners, internal customer, and deployed platforms.
  • Global (deployable) Technical Exploitation response capabilities.
  • Planning, integration, execution of full-spectrum, technical exploitation plans, exercises, training, and operations

Security Clearance Requirements:  Active TS/SCI clearance with (the ability, before the start date, to obtain) a Polygraph (FSP).

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of time.

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
