Progressive Care Unit - Registered Nurse
 

The PCU nurse will provide care to the hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patient not requiring mechanical ventilation. This includes providing physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural support to the patient.  Anticipated patient populations include but are not limited to revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, diabetic ulcer, renal failure, DVT and intermediate surgical intervention.  Staff will expect patients in relative stability while recognizing that such diagnoses may require skilled assessment and intervention tools for potential deteriorating conditions.

 
Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • 12 bed unit; dedicated to close patient monitoring that requires skilled assessment and intervention tools for potential deteriorating conditions.

  • Types of patients: hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patient not requiring mechanical ventilation. This includes providing physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural support to the patient.

  • Procedures Performed: revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, diabetic ulcer, renal failure, DVT and intermediate surgical intervention

  • Teamwork heavily focused to promote better patient experience & high quality of care

  • Fast paced and collaborative

Qualifications

 

 

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree preferred
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program (up to $5,250/calendar year)
  • Student Loan Repayment Program

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • 1 Year of Nursing experience 
CERTIFICATIONS:
  • NH RN license or valid RN Compact State License
  • BLS
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • CPI within 3 months of hire
  • HCA will pay for certification renewals once employed
