Highlands Regional Medical Center, located in Sebring, FL is a 126-bed
inpatient, full service facility offering a full range of Emergency, Surgical,
Inpatient and Outpatient services.

The Cath Lab Tech is an essential part of the Cath Lab team providing excellent patient care and assistance to the physician by scrubbing, circulating, or monitoring during the case.
The Cath Lab at Highlands Regional Medical Center performs approximately 600 Diagnostic & Interventional cases per year in their single, state of the art Cath Lab Suite.
Equipment used: Phillips, Witt Monitoring, Volcano IVUS & FFR, Angiojet, CSI
Top 3 procedures: Diagnostic Cath, Interventional Cath, Interventional Radiology (Peripheral Diagnostic & Intervention)
Unit Hours: M - F, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM / Call Requirements: 2 days per week, every other weekend
Typical Department Orientation: 2 months or until competencies completed
Characteristics of candidates who would work best in this unit: Ability to work well with physicians and co-workers, team player, critical thinking/critical care skills, ability to handle high acuity, fast paced, emergent environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CVT program or,
- CRT (Rad Tech with FL State Licensure)
- ARRT or RCVT/RCIS preferred
- Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab required (500 Hours)
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications as a Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association)
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs.
