Maintenance Manager

Location: Orange, Texas

Manage and administer the Maintenance Department and Plant Small Capital Projects to include: Safety, efficiency, reliability, profitability, training and continuous improvement.

 Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all environmental and safety regulatory standards, specifications and policies are met or exceeded
  • Direct maintenance supervisors and hourly maintenance associates in their roles and responsibilities to meet plant objectives (KPI’s) in safety, quality, cost, production, reliability, and customer service.
  • Develop and execute plant-specific maintenance strategy to assure continuous improvement and alignment with the corporate reliability strategy.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and the administration of plant capital budget.
  • Administer and direct preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Plan and monitor maintenance personnel training.
  • Assist in planning long and short term capital and operating budgets.
  • Ensure that appropriate inventory levels for critical and standard replacement parts are maintained
  • Identify top chronic issues and develop an action plan to resolve these issues.
  • Drive toward Maintenance and Reliability Excellence.
  • Maintain a good labor-management relationship.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years working experience in chemical plant facility.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a maintenance related supervisory position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills.
  • Strong computer software skills; (Microsoft Office, Project, Excel, Word)
  • In-depth knowledge of Centralized Maintenance Management System experience preferred. (SAP Maintenance Module)
  • Must have strong technical, troubleshooting, analytical skills along with lean concept knowledge to plan and execute technological improvements encompassing mechanical, instrument and electrical systems.
  • Requires 30-40% field management.
  • Direct knowledge of the following equipment (refractory lined reactors, preheaters, large scale filtration units, pulverizers, mixers/palletization, gas conveying systems, screw/elevator conveying, cogeneration and utility systems.
  • Knowledge of vibration, alignment, field balancing, infrared, ultrasonic Pdm technologies.
