You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Manager of Quality Assurance like you to be a part of our team.

As the Manager of Innovations Quality Assurance, you will oversee Sarah Cannon Development Innovations quality assurance (QA) processes and colleagues and provide guidance and support to operational teams to meet GCP and regulatory requirements in the conduct of clinical trials. You will manage Sponsor and regulatory audits and conduct internal, site, or vendor audits as assigned, while working closely and effectively with Quality Management, research directors, clinical trial Sponsors, project study teams, and outside consultants.

Duties include but are not limited to:

You will provide guidance to research operations on the interpretation of corporate and regulatory requirements (standard/policies/procedures) related to quality assurance and GCP

•    You will manage performance and development of Innovations Quality Assurance systems/ processes, colleagues, budget and goals as needed

•    You will oversee and/or perform quality functions and executing quality programs

•    You will manage the preparation, hosting, and follow-up of Sponsor audits/assessments and regulatory inspections

•    You will manage and/or participate in the development and/or review of standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions to support the quality management system

•    You will conduct internal, vendor, and site audits, including planning, executing, reporting, and follow-up

•    You will develop quality plans and/or audit schedules as appropriate

•    You will identify areas of deficiency and trends in quality and escalating to appropriate colleagues, while developing, modifying, and utilizing tools to track and trend compliance issues

•    You will develop timelines to ensure timely and appropriate follow-up in areas of deficiency

•    You will maintain records to support quality processes and audits

•    You will educate, train, and mentor staff in quality improvement methods

•    You will attend training courses, conferences or association meetings to continue to gain knowledge and share information with other members of the group or company to increase awareness of industry trends

•    You may be required to travel up to 15%, as assigned

Qualifications

For this position, you must have:

     Associate Degree (2 year program)
At least 3 years’ experience in clinical research
Previous experience in a GxP environment  
Quality assurance, quality management, or quality auditing

Experience working in a CRO or sponsor environment

It is preferred that you have:         

Bachelor’s Degree (4 year program)
Experience in a supervisory or management role
Research certification
