Job Description: Associate Director for Sports is a senior level management position in the Syracuse University Recreation unit responsible for leadership, development and management of the Sport Club and Intramural Sports programs. The Sport Club program consists of 50 competitive, instructional and recreational clubs with over 1,500 participants. The Intramural Sports program includes 24 sports activities and has over 2,800 participants. The Sports work group consists of (3) full time staff and 60 student staff. Associate Director directly supervise (2) full time staff members and manages an operating budget of $350,000. Associate Director for Sports establishes, coordinates and implements appropriate risk management and compliance plans for all Sports programs. Innovative, quality programming is critical to the success of the Barnes Center at The Arch operations.
