Software Engineer - Military Veterans

Northrop Grumman has an immediate opportunity for a software engineer in our San Diego CA office. This position will start as a remote position. The software engineer designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline with 2 years of applicable experience
  • Secret clearance
  • Front end web development
  • Requires 2 years experience with CSS, JavaScript, React
Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience developing with XML and JSON
· Experience developing applications using Big Data databases (e.g. Accumulo, HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra)
