This role will be responsible for category management of $224M of Americas Formed metals spend You will have global responsibility for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve lowest Total Cost, reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering and Sole/ Single Source elimination. You will manage Supplier Performance to support your commodity/category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You will be managing multiple projects in a dynamic global environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies
Right and Fast execution of strategies to align with business Growth and New Product Introductions
Manage Category and Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends
Build new Relationship with key Supplier Leaderships
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance and Quality and Other Honeywell Businesses
Lead Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes
Apply effective Sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuity
Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Payment cycle optimization, Vendor Managed Inventories Inventory and Lead time reductions

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, purchasing or operations or related discipline.
5 years of global experience in Strategic Sourcing or related field
Managing high volume of annual spend
Direct materials management experience
-Metals
Experience negotiating with suppliers
Ability to influence stakeholders in the business
Commercial acumen, analytical skills
Working with suppliers in US and LATAM.

WE VALUE

Knowledge in Formed Metals.
MBA or other Master's degree preferred, emphasis in operations and supply chain preferred.
Experience in the following or similar industries: Controls, Industrial Equipment, Automotive.
Previous experience in global high-mix manufacturing business
CIPS, APICs and/or CPM or equivalent certification preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
Experience in leading cross-functional and sourcing teams with an emphasis on emerging regions.
Demonstrated ability to manage / lead multiple projects and changing priorities.
Ability to work with, manage and influence all levels of Leadership.
Ability to make data-driven decisions.
Successful use of decision-making and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills
