**The Challenge:**

Soon this airframe will become an airplane, and with your help, it will fly\! As a Technical Advisor embedded into our customer’s engineering team, you will directly impact the support flight operations, flight test planning and test operations, as well as support engineering and flight manual development\.

Deploying from your current location, as a part of the KF\-X Flight Operations team, you will provide guidance on everything from KAI test pilot training, qualifications, and flight reporting as well as Flight manual, emergency procedures, first flight readiness reviews, Flight Operations ConOps Development & Safety Procedures, and pre & post flight briefings\.

In addition, this opportunity offers versatility by impacting Flight Test Planning and Operations, guiding:

• Test Plan Preparation

• First Flight and Initial Airworthiness Planning

• Envelope Expansion and Mission Avionics Integration Planning

• Test Maneuver and Mission Profile Development

• Test Plan Technical and Safety Review Preparation

• Test Hazard Identification, Analysis and Mitigation

• Flight Test Safety Implementation

Proactively assessing and resolving issues, you will partner as a trusted point of contact with the entire supporting organization providing expert guidance of flight test, test pilot plan development, execution, and optimization recommendations\.

Beyond that you may provide technical assistance with:

• Final Aircraft Development

• Aircraft Normal, Abnormal and Emergency Operation Procedures

• Pilot Vehicle Interface \(PVI\) and Man Machine Interface

• Integrated Cautions Advisories and Warnings \(ICAWs\)

**Basic Qualifications:**

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Minimum of 10 years of Military Aircraft Systems Experience

• Graduate of a Society of Experimental Test Pilots \(SETP\) recognized Test Pilot School with Developmental Test & Evaluation envelope expansion experience in high\-performance aircraft

• Demonstrated Flight Test Planning and Operations team experience

• Familiar with First Flight Readiness Reviews & Initial Airworthiness planning

• Possesses experience in training and mentoring less experienced engineers in Flight Test ConOps

• Experience with Military or Government Programs

• US Citizenship

• Open to relocating to Korea with the ability to obtain a Korean VISA

**Desired Skills:**

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:

• Military aircraft program management experience

• Experience working with international customers or with Korean government or culture

• Proposal development/Negotiations experience

• Government Contract execution and Export Control Compliance experience

• Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex and challenging customer and supplier relationships

• Experience with new aircraft design and/or development
