The WVMC team is comprised of 800 employees and volunteers, and based within a three-story hospital and several off-site community clinics. Position Description: Medical/Surgical Nurse, Full-Time Days 7a-7p

Under the direction of department leadership, cares for medical and surgical patients. Performs related assessments, procedures and treatments, evaluates and updates patient plan of care that assures and maintains high quality care for all assigned patients Performs thorough assessments of assigned medical and surgical patients. Assessments include obtaining patient history, assessing body systems, outcomes of treatments and procedures performed and the psychosocial needs of the patient.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education:

Graduate of a school of Nursing.  BSN is preferred.

 

Experience:

Acute care experience preferred.

 

Licensure/Certifications:

Current Utah Registered Nurse License or RN Compact license (required).

Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required. 

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification within 90 days of hire.

Current NVCI (CPI) or obtain within 60 days of date of hire
