NYU Langone Medical Student and House Staff Mental Health Services Psychologist 


NYU Langone Medical Center's Student and House Staff Mental Health Program is seeking applications for a clinical psychologist position.  This position has been built to meet the needs of all students, with a focus on our Black/Black-Identified student and resident population. Our services foster the well-being of medical students and residents by providing a full range of clinical services, consultation, and outreach to our campus community. This position provides time-limited counseling and psychological services to students and residents. The position also provides interdisciplinary communication between psychologists, psychiatrists, and administration in our approach to a well community.  We are proud to serve a diverse population within our medical student and resident community. 


We are looking for a psychologist who has specific experience working with Black/Black-identified young adults.

Successful candidates must be:

*     A clinical psychologist 

*     NYS licensed

*     Engaged clinicians who are excited about working with and contributing to training physicians' mental health

*     Able to and interested in engaging in anti-racist programming  and dialogue

*     Experienced working with African-American or Black/Black- identified students in higher education counseling setting.

*     Experienced providing outreach and/or education in the prevention and mental health wellness specifically for the African-American or Black/Black-identified young adult population.

*     Experienced with a range of clinical issues, ranging from developmental issues to more serious psychopathology.

*     Experienced and interested in working with medical students  and residents from multicultural backgrounds and marginalized populations.
