GENERAL FUNCTION

The Recruiter provides a consultative recruitment approach; drives consistent communication with hiring teams, provides market analysis, executes creative sourcing techniques, candidate assessment, and other talent related activities. The Recruiter manages the full-lifecycle recruitment process and strategies for entry & junior level positions in Corporate Shared Services functions and/or Store Manager and Field Management positions for the Luxottica North America Retail Brands, partnering closely with both internal clients and the external candidate population.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and maintains proactive partnerships with internal and external clients in order to understand business and staffing needs.
  • Develops and executes recruitment strategies to proactively search for a diverse pool of candidates using various recruiting methods to include cold-calling, networking/relationship building, social networking sites, and searches, therefore maintaining a network and pipeline of talent.
  • Participates in weekly strategy meetings with hiring managers, providing a consultative approach on talent.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on hiring techniques and legal issues regarding hiring practices.
  • Presents to Hiring Managers, and works as liaison between candidates, Hiring Managers and HR business partners providing guidance through the interview, offer, and hiring process.
  • Gathers competitive intelligence, industry trends, and labor market conditions to create search strategies.
  • Implements and enforces consistency with recruiting policies and procedures.
  • Successfully manages and tracks assigned postings, prioritizes and closes searches against established benchmarks and metrics.
  • Generates reports and data, new proposals and general corporate information.
  • May lead special projects as assigned.
  • Liaise with external Recruitment Agencies / vendors where required
  • Adhere to and execute against the Talent Acquisition KPI’s.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ relevant recruitment industry experience
  • Volume, entry or junior level recruitment experience (hourly or white collar hiring)
  • Recruitment Agency & In-house recruitment experience
  • Knowledge and experience in recruitment concepts, practice and procedures
  • Experience with automated applicant tracking tools, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience recruiting in a Technical/Retail/Information Technology and/or Marketing fields
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and both oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to follow process, comply with regulations
  • High energy, and has relationship building skills with ability to take initiative, prioritize, influence, negotiate and partner cross functionally
  • Ability to report and understand data
  • Ability to source candidates through a variety of networks and tools
  • Self-confident, self-motivated, with sense of personal accountability
  • Results driven with the ability to influence others

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Retail, Healthcare or related service oriented industries

Wholesale distribution

The Group’s wholesale distribution network covers more than 130 countries across five continents and has nearly 50 commercial subsidiaries providing direct operations in key markets. 

Retail distribution

Direct wholesale operations are complemented by an extensive retail network comprising over 7,000 stores worldwide as of December 31, 2014.

Luxottica is a leader in the prescription business in North America with its LensCrafters and Pearle Vision retail brands, in Asia-Pacific with the OPSM and Laubman & Pank brands, in China with the LensCrafters brand and in South America with the GMO brand.
